Patron saint: Protector from Storms and patron saint of miners and grandparents
Saint Anne was the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus Christ. Saint Anne is the patron saint of miners and the protector from storms. She was born in Bethlehem and then she had to move to Jerusalem with her family for awhile. Later in that time she was married to Joachim and shared a nice Christian life with him in Nazareth. Saint Anne was venerated for all her life by Christians. Saint Anne read part of the Scriptures to Mary so she could get closer to her faith life. Unfortunately, she died from natural causes in the town called Sepphoris in the first century B.C. Finally Saint Anne was canonized to be a saint in 1970 by Pope John IV.
