Hispanic Heritage Month

At Sunnyside, it is our goal to acknowledge and celebrate the cultural differences of our school family. We are proud of the many different cultures that are represented at Sunnyside Elementary! Many of our staff, students, and their families have moved to Indianapolis from Mexico, Honduras, and Puerto Rico.

From September 15th to October 15th, we will observe Hispanic Heritage Month. This website was designed for Sunnyside families to learn more about Hispanic Heritage Month and the various cultures represented in our school family. Our site offers different recipes for your family to try at a home and arts and crafts that reflect important aspects of the Hispanic culture.
