The Saskatchewan Safety Council’s Career Safety Education (CSE) program provides free online workplace safety training to support Saskatchewan curricula. Designed to raise awareness of hazards and teach risk management across diverse industries, the program offers flexible, self-paced learning and can be completed in 11 hours.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015)
Hearing Protection
Participants choose one or more industry courses from the list below:
Fall Protection Training
Ground Disturbance for Saskatchewan Workers

Retail Safety Training
Safe Gravel Travel
Safe Trailering
Healthcare: WAVE (Workplace Assessment and Violence Education). Available only to those under 21 years of age.
Construction and Trades: SCOT (Safety Construction Orientation Training). Available only to registered K-12 students.

The Rural Outreach and Mentorship Initiative (ROMI) is a medical student–run program through the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada. ROMI pairs rural high school students with medical student mentors from across Canada for one-on-one mentorship. We also host monthly virtual info sessions on topics such as applying to medical school, student life, and careers in medicine. The program runs until May.
High school student application deadline to November 20, 2025.

ATTENTION: School Teams Supporting Grade 11 and 12 Students in Schools Throughout Saskatchewan
The Ministry of Education would like to announce the 2025-26 school year Call for Nominations regarding the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship.
Through these scholarships, the government provides an annual maximum of $16,000 to ease the financial burden that some students face during their educational journey. These students are living with vulnerable circumstances.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship assists Grade 11 students with completing their secondary education. A maximum of 20, $500 scholarships are awarded annually.
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship assists Grade 12 students with completing their post-secondary education. A maximum of six, $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually.

Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course Transitioning to WorkSafe Saskatchewan
Effective September 2, 2025, the Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course (YWRCC) will be offered through a new online platform hosted by WorkSafe Saskatchewan.
WorkSafe Saskatchewan—a partnership between the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board and the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety—aims to reduce workplace injuries and fatalities. Transitioning the YWRCC under this partnership will strengthen the program’s focus on workplace safety.
Key points for schools:
Requirement remains the same: Youth ages 14–15 must complete the YWRCC before working in Saskatchewan.
Course content unchanged: The program continues to prepare young people for their first jobs, covering basic employment rights, responsibilities, and workplace health and safety.
Access timeline: Accounts created on the current saskatchewan.ca platform will remain available until September 30, 2025.
Ongoing role of schools: The government values and encourages the continued support of schools in making this course accessible to students.
