Parks

The Spencer Park system offers many opportunities for all citizens. Encompassed within the system is a family aquatic center, spacious campground, enclosed shelter houses and over 10 miles of trails. The main parks within the system are East Leach Park, River View Park, Pederson Park and Stolley Park. In all, there are fourteen parks totaling 256 acres.

Local Option Sales Tax receipts are the major source of funding for these projects. Federal and State grants also provide funding for proejcts. Additional sources of funding are identified on a specific project by project basis as needed.
