Welcome to SMART FUTURES - 

The School Counseling Department has partnered with a new career platform; Smart Futures for career education.  In the past years, we have used the platform Xello. Students can access Smart Futures at the following link: https://portal.smartfutures.org/ If using a district issued Chromebook, students can access the Smart Futures app and login directly using their Southmoreland account. 

Smart Futures is a new platform for all students K-12. We will be doing in depth training with all students once school starts and have our feet on the ground. More information to come! 

Smart Futures will allow students to work on various aspects of their career and post-secondary plan. Smart Futures gives students the opportunity to take various career surveys/assessments to help understand the various career options that match their interests, skills and personality. It will also allow students to look at post-secondary schooling options. Students will have the opportunity to use this program throughout their ENTIRE time at Southmoreland and beyond. 

• As of February 2026, we have started exploring with Smart Futures. Students all have a login available to them. They will continue to explore and complete all required activities throughout the remainder of the school year.
