Monday 27 October
Dear families,
This coming Friday, 31 October, we will be acknowledging and celebrating our wonderful teachers for World Teachers’ Day. Our teachers inspire, guide, and support every student with care, dedication, and a love for learning. They make our school a place where curiosity is nurtured, kindness is modelled and every child feels valued. We warmly invite all families to join us for our assembly at 2:50 pm as we celebrate and give thanks for the incredible teachers in our school community.
Parent Teacher Conference – Follow Up
Thank you for attending our recent parent-teacher meetings. It was wonderful to see so many of you and to discuss your child’s learning journey. Teachers shared valuable insights, including assessment data and work samples. You can view more of your child’s work on Seesaw, as 10 minutes often isn’t enough to cover everything in depth.
If you have further questions or would like to discuss well-being or other matters, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a follow-up meeting.
Expected Increases and changes to 2026 School Fees and Curriculum Levies.
Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) has announced changes to funding distribution, tuition fee-setting, and the levy system as part of a broader strategy to strengthen financial sustainability and support schools in greatest need.
In line with this, our school will adjust fees and levies for 2026, introducing a tiered family fee structure.
Benefits of the Tiered Family Fee
Fairness: Families contribute in proportion to the number of children enrolled, with lower fees for each additional child.
Sustainability: The structure aligns revenue with operating costs such as staffing, resources, and facilities—helping ensure long-term financial stability that benefits all students.
Consistency: Most Catholic and independent schools already use a tiered model, providing alignment with sector standards and clarity for families.
A tiered structure is fairer, more sustainable, and more consistent than a flat family fee. It supports sibling families while helping maintain high-quality learning programs and facilities for every child to flourish.
We remain committed to working closely with our community to make this transition as smooth as possible. We appreciate your ongoing support as we work with MACS to ensure our school continues to offer a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all students.
