This can be any general photo that you want to use
Upload your photo to this Google Drive folder
We only have licenses for the software on those two machines. It's not cheap.
Open 1-Touch Laser on either iMac attached to laser 1 or 2.
In 1-Touch Laser, go to FILE --> OPEN and under favorites on the left hand side, find the Lasercutter Synced Files folder.
Your image should be in there.
Edit the height and width for your image (In Inches)
Click "Crop/Resize" to make the changes to your height and width
Resized values can be seen on the black rulers at top and on the left. This is an important step because you do NOT want to resize the final result in Illustrator. When you resize the final processed image in Illustrator, it changes the impact of what the software created for you.
Choose your filter material and click "apply".
🚨NOTE🚨You may see a warning that says "Images larger than....Image too large to save for 'undo' feature, proceed?" If you see that, click yes. You won't be able to "undo" but you can always close the program and reopen the image for processing again.
Click Save and then bring that image into Illustrator. Note Again: Avoid resizing in Illustrator. Size appropriately in 1-Touch Laser Photo.
Save the new processed file by clicking the red "Save" button. Put the file in the same Lasercutter Synced Files folder on the Desktop
On your computer, open this Google Drive folder, download your new processed file, then bring that file into Illustrator.
With your Illustrator file open, Go to File --> Place and select the image from your downloads folder. The image will appear to be stuck to your mouse, to place in your document just click somewhere to drop the image.
Here's the finished product! This is an actual picture of the wood piece.
