Cleaning The Bed

Part of the job setup process is clearing any debris off of the laser cutter's honeycomb bed. If there are only large pieces, you can simply remove them with your hands. If there are lots of pieces, you can use the focus feature to lower the bed and dump the debris into the catch tray below.

1. Press the Focus button
2. Use the down arrow to lower the bed enough to give you space to work (likely 6"-8" or so).
3. Lift all three guide rails by pressing on the flat black sides of the rail
4. Pick up the honeycomb bed and tilt it so that you dump the debris into the tray below. NOTE: Be careful not to hit the optics head with the tray as this can damage the machine.
5. Place the honeycomb tray back solidly into place. Make sure it's laying flat in its spot.
6. Push all three guide rails back down on top of the honeycomb bed
7. Press the reset button
