Unloading Filament
Unloading Filament
- Select "Filament" from Menu
- Select "Unload Filament"
- Wait for Extruder to heat
- The Extruder will melt the tip of the filament
- Once it is done, remove the filament from the hole at the top of the machine (seen below)
- Spin the spool of filament to get it out of the white casing
- Once it is all out, you are free to remove the spool

- Place a spool on the holder
- After being secured, spin the filament through the white casing until it gets through to the other end
- Once it is through the other end, place it into the hole at the top of the machine (seen below)
- Select "Filament" from Menu
- Select "Load Filament"
- Wait for Extruder to heat
- Once the heating is done, your new filament is ready for use

- On the LCD panel, select Utilities > Change Filament > Unload
- Wait for Extruder to heat up to set temperature
- Pull Filament free from the Extruder gently (seen below)
- Remove the old spool

- On the LCD panel, select Utilities > Change Filament > Load
- Wait for Extruder to heat up to set temperature
- Upon heating to set temperature, the LCD panel will notify you to load the filament into the extruder (seen below)
- Feed filament into extruder until you feel the motor tug on the filament
- ***NOTE: MAKE SURE THE FILAMENT IS MARKED PLA. IF YOU USE ABS IT CAN CAUSE THE PRINTER TO BREAK***
- While it tugs, keep pushing until you see the extruder release filament
