Why Do We Care

Sometimes you might want to have your artwork centered around the new Home location (0,0) instead of having your artwork positioned as it is in your file. In the images shown, the artwork in the file is a red and green circle. The "center" of that artwork is the center of an imaginary box that is drawn around ALL artwork in the file

If Center Engraving is selected on the setting screen, then you MUST move the Home location (as described on Home Location Tool Tip page) to where you'd like the center of your artwork to be placed by the laser cutter. For example, if your artwork is just a simple circle, then the center of that circle is the same as the center of your artwork. If you move the home location to a new spot on your material, and chose center engraving, then the circle will be perfectly centered on the new Home location you set the red laser to.
