AP Classroom Instructional Resources

• AP Classroom provides all-in-one instructional support with resources that can help you plan your course, create practice assignments and custom assessments in a format similar to the digital AP Exam, and track student results and overall progress. 

Databases and Library Services

• To access the databases, students and teachers must use their library card number or if you do not have a library card, students can come to the library to receive the passwords. 

Learning Ally:

• Learning Ally is an audiobook solution helps striving readers, from grade school to high school access grade level content with ease. By removing the barriers to reading, students are able to read and learn.

Newsela

• Newsela is an educational technology platform that provides articles and other content tailored to different reading levels. It's primarily used in schools to support literacy development and comprehension skills among students

No Red Ink

• NoRedInk is an online platform designed to help students improve their grammar and writing skills. It offers personalized exercises based on the student's interests, allowing them to practice grammar concepts in the context of sentences related to topics they enjoy. 

Perusall

• Perusall is an online social learning platform for annotating text, video, and audio content – motivating students to ask questions, share insights, and build a learning community.

Turnitin

• Turnitin allows you to check your students’ written work for originality and includes feedback and grading features.

NY Times 

• SMUHSD Teachers and students have free access to The New York Times

• Adaptive Practice- CK-12’s 150,000+ questions can be customized in quizzes or used within Adaptive Practice, allowing students to practice, learn, and fill in knowledge gaps on a phone, tablet, or computer.

• FlexBOOKS  2.0- CK-12’s free, standards-aligned, digital textbooks are customizable, integrated, and interactive, allowing users to create 330,000+ localized FlexBooks®.

• Assignments and analytics- Insights & integrations with Canvas making assignments is easy, and predictions and student progress can be found right at your fingertips.

Common lit

• CommonLit is a comprehensive literacy program with thousands of reading lessons, full-year ELA curriculum, benchmark assessments, and standards-based data for teachers.
