Perusall is an online social learning platform for annotating text, video, and audio content – motivating students to ask questions, share insights, and build a learning community.
It allows students to read, comment, and annotate texts together, fostering a more interactive and meaningful learning experience.
By promoting active participation and discussion, Perusall aims to improve student understanding and knowledge retention.
In your Canvas course, navigate to Settings > Navigation, locate Perusall (it may be towards the bottom of the list).
Click three dots beside Perusall and select Enable, or click and drag it to the list of active navigation options, and Save.
Refresh your page, and click on Perusall in the left navigation to create your Perusall course.
By default, when you create an assignment in Perusall, we will automatically make a corresponding Canvas Assignment and grade item for each Perusall assignment in your Canvas course gradebook that will sync based on your Perusall course settings.
