Hāpara is designed to help teachers organize and monitor students' digital activities.
Hāpara allows teachers to view and manage students' work within Google Workspace, providing insights into their progress and engagement.
Hāpara allows teachers to create a secure digital testing environment.
ALL Teacher and student accounts are automagically created and enabled through Clever and become active once a new semester begins.
Note: Teachers who have previously used Hāpara will automatically have their new courses enrolled in the next semester
Teachers New to Hapara should:

Please note that we have identified certain challenges that may arise in your implementation of this resource as well as some reminders for best practices:
The Google Chrome browser is required to implement Hāpara. No other browser is supported.
Chromebooks are the preferred devices to use when implementing Hāpara. It is best practice to require students to bring their school issued Chromebooks when using this resource for assessment purposes. Monitoring all student online behavior with Hāpara on personal devices is not possible. This can only be accomplished on district issued Chromebooks.
While this is not encouraged, Hāpara can be used on student personal devices only if students are using the Chrome browser and are logged into their school issued Google account in said browser. Students must sync their Chrome profile in order for Hāpara to have access. Please view student-facing directions here.
Note: District support staff will not be able to assist student access to Hāpara using their personal devices.
Student privacy: Teachers are expected to respect student privacy when using Hapara.
Students need to be advised that Hāpara is NOT meant to stalk students outside of the class they are in and will not be used as an invasion of their privacy.
Hāpara will only work when on our school network while logged into their school Google account.
Hāpara is set to view student usage on Chromebooks only during school hours (8am-4pm).
Hāpara should only be used with students during the period by which the teacher has the student enrolled.
Please review this student FAQ regarding protecting privacy and personal data.
Hāpara is only supported on District-issued Chromebooks.
Student accounts are automatically created and rostered by class for teachers via Clever.
Students access a manually created Hāpara course by logging into the Student Dashboard with their school-issued Google account. They do not need to take any special steps, as the course is automatically available to them once they are enrolled by a teacher.
How students access their course
Students must be logged into their school Google account.
They navigate to the Hāpara Student Dashboard at https://app.hapara.com/student
From the dashboard, they can view and access any classes, including those manually created, and any associated Workspaces or assignments.
Once the teacher has added the students to a manually created class, it appears on each student's dashboard, along with all their other classes. This process is seamless and does not require students to accept an invitation or enter a class code.
