Additional Information for Advisors:
The SLU 101 session for Honors students is on Day 1 at 2:45pm. Students can also stop by the Honors table at the Resource Fair on Day 2.
Honors students may be enrolled in the Honors LC, but they are not required to be in the LC to be in Honors.
Ideally, first-year Honors students should be enrolled in one of our Honors-only courses for Fall 2024 or in our Honors section of CORE 1500 (handled in the SLU 101 pre-registration survey logic).
If the above is not possible, they should be enrolled in an Honors dual-listed course (handled in the SLU 101 pre-registration survey logic).
Only being in the Honors section of CORE 1500 is okay if nothing else will work with their schedule.
If a student lives in the LC, they really should be in one of the Honors-only courses if they can (handled in the SLU 101 pre-registration survey logic).
We are still working on LC enrollment, so we don't have any definite answers here, but it's possible that a non-Honors student may be living in the Honors LC – they need to know that they are NOT in Honors, but they can apply to join Honors in Fall 2025. Occasionally, there is confusion when a non-Honors student joins the Honors LC.
Honors students need to meet with the Honors department at Day 1 at 2:45 pm. Refer to SLU 101 student schedule for more information.
