Focus on creating educational materials and presentation using principles of Plain Language. ***Discuss what reading level is most suitable for the educational and presentation materials to ensure they are easily understood by the audience of parents in the PLT program.

Parents Learning Together is a program within the St. Louis Arc.
PLT provides both center-based instruction and home-based mentoring and support to each family, utilizing the evidence-based Nurturing Parenting curriculum.

Initial Site Visit: Tuesday, Sept 16 at 4pm. Meeting will take place over Zoom. Your faculty advisor Tessa Cook will provide the link. Students will meet with Vanessa, Cathy, and Megan. Megan will provide a volunteer overview (mandatory) and then students will talk with Cathy and Vanessa about the PLT program and project topic
Group and Special Event Waiver Agreement - you will receive a paper copy during the 9/2 class. This form will be passed out in class and can be given and be can scan/emailed as a group or individually; email directly to Megan Eader, Volunteer Manager at meader@slarc.org
