The Center for Interprofessional Education and Research (CIER) at Saint Louis University prepares graduates for interprofessional patient/client-centered care, effective and efficient delivery of health care services, and advocacy for the improvement of health and health services.

The Interprofessional Community Practicum Course utilizes a service learning model in which students apply IPE course material in a community health setting to achieve the following goals:

1. Demonstrate interprofessional collaboration readiness to address population health

2. Collaborate with a community health or social services agency to improve health or promote wellness among their target population.
