Mission statement and objectives: The mission of City Garden Charter School is to provide a high-quality education to a diverse student population, following the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, and to cultivate young people who value and respect themselves, others, the environment and the world community. In the process of nurturing our students to be competent, creative, lifelong learners who practice compassion, respect, nonviolence and sustainability, we will strengthen families, the neighborhoods we serve and the City of St. Louis as a whole.

Before Care Assistant: The Before Care Program runs from 6:45 AM to 8:30 AM (with an arrival time of 6:30 AM), and serves as a childcare program for families. Before Care Assistants will assist Before Care staff in providing breakfast to child, as well as engaging them in student-activities like recess games, art activities, worksheets, etc.

After Care Assistant: The After Care Program runs from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM (with an arrival time of 3:15 PM), and serves as a childcare program for families. Before Care Assistants will assist Before Care staff in providing breakfast to child, as well as engaging them in student-activities like recess games, art activities, worksheets, etc.

Teaching & Learning Assistant: Assist teachers directly in the classroom and after school with instruction, activities, etc.

Building Assistant: Assist building staff with administrative needs, lunch preparation, recess supervision, general student supervision, building and grounds related tasks, etc.
