Switched at SLU

 Switched at SLU is a community-engaged student program at Saint Louis University where occupational, physical, and speech therapy students modify off-the-shelf toys with switch technology, making them accessible for children with disabilities.

• Mission: To train students and professionals to adapt toys with electronic switches and provide them at no cost to families and local groups.

• Collaboration: Partner organizations include local groups like the St. Louis Arc and their Capable Kids and Families program.

• Hands-on Learning: Students gain practical experience in pediatric rehabilitation engineering, accessibility, and family-centered care.
