Mission

The International Institute of St. Louis provides opportunities for immigrants and refugees to thrive in order to create a welcoming, prosperous, and healthy region for all.

IPE 4900

Agency Identified Goal

Student projects address this.

Support the afterschool program.

Project Topic - since this is the first semester an IPE 4900 team will be working with the International Institute.  One idea for the IPE 4900 team that was discussed is to  talk with the After-school team and the students about different educational topics that are important to this group (i.e. conflict resolution, hygiene, STDs).  The IPE 4900 students will create a list of 4 - 5 educational topics based on their conversations at the International Institue. The team will identify and compile relevant evidence-based resources and educational materials the after-school program team can use in the after-school program with the kids in the coming year. This idea will be discussed in more detail at the initial visit.
