Maya received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Tulsa before pursuing an Ph.D. in Engineering here at Saint Louis University. Her academic interests lie in software engineering, human-machine interaction, and tactile communication. She aspires to increase access to assistive robotics in underserved communities.
