Parent & Student Handbook Sign-off DUE Friday, August 29th 2025.
Driving and parking on the Skaggs Catholic Center Campus is a privilege. Courtesy and caution must be exercised when entering, leaving, parking, and driving on the roads and in the lots. The health and safety of our students, families, faculty, staff, and the public are paramount.
Speeding, improper parking, or other reckless driving may result in a $25.00 fine for each incident and may also result in a police citation, depending on the circumstances and severity of the violation. This includes driving against one-way signs as posted. All drivers on the Skaggs Catholic Center Campus are required to observe all traffic and parking signs and painted curbs. Failure to do so may result in a police citation. Students also risk the loss of parking privileges and imposition of school discipline.
Students must purchase a parking permit and register their vehicle(s) in order to park on campus. Parking permits will be sold at the beginning of every school year and throughout the year in Student Services.
Each permit costs $10. Students who lose their permits will be charged a fee of $15 to receive a new one. Students who need a new permit (i.e. new car, replacing a windshield, etc.) will need to bring in the old permit to receive a new one – otherwise, they will be charged an additional fee.
The parking permit must be firmly affixed (not taped) to the lower left-hand corner of the front windshield on the driver’s side. If the decal is improperly displayed, a fine may be incurred. Your decal is valid only for the vehicle for which it is registered. You may not move the decal from one vehicle to another. Students may purchase more than one decal if they drive more than one vehicle.
Students may enter the campus through either the south, east, or west driveway and will park in Lots A or C, with the exception of the front row (closest to the school) of Lot A. Lot C is reserved for senior students with a valid parking permit. Any student parking in a Faculty/Staff parking (Lot B) or in a visitor stall is subject to a citation, booting, and/or towing at the owner’s expense.
Students are not allowed to drive or park golf carts, 4x4’s, electric scooters on campus at any time. Any questions related to parking should be addressed with the Dean of Students.
School officials, with reasonable cause, may search students’ cars parked in the school parking lots, without prior permission from the student/parent.
Parking in a restricted zone, e.g. red zone, bus zone, or on a sidewalk, may result in a fine, loss of parking privileges, and in the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense. The school is not responsible for damage or loss to cars parked in the lot.
All parking and driving fines are $25. Any student who has more than 3 parking or driving fines are at risk of losing their parking privileges. No permit refund will be given.
Drivers must follow signage and/or the direction of authorized police representatives when they are present. Check the Juan Diego website for updated and more detailed information on traffic and parking.
Any questions related to parking should be addressed with the Dean of Students or the Director of Student Activities.
Any financial concerns related to parking should be addressed with the Dean of Students.
A TRAX station (Kimballs Lane Station) is located .3 miles to the east of campus, on 11800 South. There is a sidewalk on the north side of the street for a safe, convenient walk between the station and campus. Check the UTA/TRAX schedule to determine which times allows you to reach school on time
