The My Projects landing page streamlines navigation; Projects, Contacts, and Libraries upper left-hand menu. These sections are visible from every screen, allowing you to easily move between functions from anywhere within the platform.
Click the 3 dots to right of project title.
Activate/Close: Enable or disable a project’s ability to actively collect new responses.
Collaborate: Invite others Qualtrics users to collaborate on a survey with you.
Rename Project: Edit the name of your project.
Copy Project: Copy the project to your account, one of your libraries
Note: When you copy a project, you copy more than just the questions; Survey Flow elements, Survey Options, and Look & Feel Settings.
Edit Survey: Navigate to the Survey tab to make changes to your survey.
Preview Survey: See your survey the way a respondent would see it on a desktop or mobile device.
Translate Survey: Translate your survey into multiple languages.
Distribute Survey: Navigate to the Distributions tab to access distribution options for your survey.
Data & Analysis: Navigate to the Data & Analysis tab and view individual response entries.
View Reports: Navigate to the Reports tab and view aggregate data from your survey.
Delete Project: Delete your project (note that deleted projects cannot be recovered, so you will be asked to confirm this decision).
Each project entry line shows certain pieces of information. Every project shows the Name and Status.
Name: The name of your project and the last modified date.
Status: The activation status (New, Active, or Inactive) of your project.
Questions: The number of questions in your survey.
Depending on the project status, you will see other metrics as well.
New projects are projects with a survey that has never been collected a response. For these, you will see the following:
Est. Response Time: An estimate of how long it will take participants to complete your survey.
Languages: The number of translations you have created for the survey.
Active projects – a survey that is currently open and collecting responses
Responses – total number of responses recorded for your project so far (completed and partials)
12 Day Trend – survey’s response collection trend over the past 12 days
Actions convert real-time responses into measurable tasks.
Email Task: Email Tasks allow you to send an email notification to someone when a survey response is completed and specified conditions are met.
Choosing a distribution channel activates your survey, each channel has its own sidebar tab and all actions are within that tab.
Distribution options have been combined and relabeled.
The Data & Analysis module allows you to manage, add information to, and analyze individual responses. The module is organized into tabs: Data, Text iQ, Crosstabs, and Weighting.
Add a Filter
Export/Import (Export to Excel, SPSS, Google Drive)
Edit - edit mode; you can add answers to individual responses or make essential edits, such as correcting spelling.

Larger surveys – dashboards are based on a desired distribution rather than the actual distribution
Add a variable – professor surveys all students and the survey has embedded data (grades) if the professor wanted to view how the students with poor grades responded to course content.
You can insert a progress bar to indicate how far along in the survey the participant is.
To insert a progress bar:
From the survey builder, select Look and Feel
Click on General, with in the Progress Bar dropdown menu, select With Verbose Text. Ensure location of Progress Bar, either Top or Bottom of survey.
Click on Apply.
This will place the progress bar over the questions, allowing respondents to see their progress. The progress bar is labeled “Survey Completion” and with 0% and 100% labeled at the ends.
Anonymize responses when enables will not record respondents’ IP Address, location data, and contact info before saving it in the data.
From Survey Options and select Security.
Toggle Anonymize Responses to On.
