Ensemble Anthem

The Ensemble Anthem application creates screen capture and webcam recordings which are automatically uploaded into the user's Ensemble Media Library.

Launch Anthem:

Click on the Record button from the Media Library
Or
Directly from your computer without visiting the Ensemble web application.

Note: To change the library that Anthem uploads to,

log into the web application (https://ensembleweb.sjfc.edu/) and click the Record button from that library.

Settings:

From Ensemble Anthem application, click on Settings to confirm that your Webcam and Microphone are selected properly.

The selected option in the dropdown is Default. There is also a checkbox (not checked) that says Record Desktop Audio. To the right of that is an orange microphone icon with a gray bar. There is a green color over the gray bar indicating the level of the microphone. Below that there is tex that reads Camera Quality and a dropdown field with the 1500 Kbps option selected. The last two pieces in the screenshot are Media Upload, which has a checkmark box (not checked) next to it as well as text that reads Delete recordings on disk after upload; and Media Preview with a checkmark box (not checked) with text thatsays Skip media preview and upload in background. There is an orange file icon with the word Save in the bottom right of the image.

Recording:

Click on the record tab to view all recording options:

  • Screen capture

  • Screen capture with a picture-in-picture webcam

  • Webcam only

  • Voice only

A timer will count down five seconds, then the application will start recording. The application may be minimized during the recording.

Click on the Anthem icon in the Windows or Mac taskbar/dock to reveal the mid-recording options:

Click on Done to finish the recording and advance to the Anthem editor.

Blackboard Integration:

Within your course:
  • Click on Course materials, within Build Content and select Ensemble Video item.

Create Ensemble Video Item

From Create Ensemble Video Item:
  • Within the Description box, select Mashups > Ensemble Video and click on Launch.

Choose Ensemble Video

To add an Ensemble video—click on Green plus sign.
  • To add a playlist—if already created, click on Choose Playlist tab and click on Green plus sign.
