Go to the course
Click on other Course Tools and then Awards
At the top, click on Course Awards
Click on Add Award to Course
Click on Create
Enter award name, description, and criteria. If the award is shared publicly, anyone the student shares this award with will see this
Choose the award type:
Badge: shows a small badge-icon
Certificate: shows an actual certificate
Under Availability, choose to Make this award available to all of my courses
If applicable, choose an expiration date under Expiry. Choose:
Fixed date
Time period after earning the award
Relative day of the month
Under Choose Award Image, choose From Existing Library. Do not choose Upload New Icon.
If you can’t find an icon there that matches your specific needs, email cite@sjf.edu with a request for a new award icon to be created. DePeters Family Center will work with Marketing & Communication to create a new icon and make it available for use campus wide.
Under Issuer Information, enter in
Issuer Name (most likely the instructor name)
Issuer URL (enter in sjf.edu)
Issuer Contact (enter in the instructor email address).
Click Save and Close
