The International Year of Forests 2011

The International Year of Forests launched on 2 February, 2011, at the General Assembly Hall in New York City.

Zvezdara Forest Protection Association will mark the International Year of Forests 2011:

• by events throughout the year 2011;
  • on the International Day of Forest Protection, March 21st, which we commemorate by organizing annual children festival "Children bestow the forest - With Nature against violence";
• on the World Environment Day, June 5th, which we commemorate by organizing street performance and distributing flyers in order to inform public about environment, its problems and solutions through protection and sustainable development;
• on the International day of climate action, October 24th, which we commemorate by organizing lectures about effects of global climate change, ways to prevent it and solutions that are ecological and economical at the same time;
