Point Source Laser Diffraction.

The very last photo is actually what happened when I almost completely covered the laser with the staple - note that there is no laser beam spreader. It's not part of the experiment but fuck it, it's bloody interesting.

I originally got the idea of the experiment from a rather extraordinary group that builds up a library called the "Rope Hyopthesis" based on their own "Rational Scientific Method"

The experiment screen/graph paper was set something like one metre away. Beyond about 30 degrees from the centre of the beam, it becomes harder to see the blips as they are faded.
