Dr. Nazar M. Mohammad Amin, I am working as vice chancellor of Suleimany (Silémaní) University in Iraqi Kurdistan. I managed to establish the first department of psychiatry in Erbil (Hewlér), Iraqi Kurdistan. I have also participated in the establishment a large center for handicapped children in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. My research interest were on handicapped children in Kurdistan. I have been teaching psychiatry for the last 21 years. I have a role in the planning and implementation of most of the mental health services and university teaching in Arbil and Suleimany. I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and worked for the last 21 years to promote mental health education and protect the rights of mentally ill patients in Iraqi Kurdistan.
