INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Authors retain copyright of the contents of their submitted manuscripts, however, articles should not be reproduced without written permission from the Editor-in-Chief of Zanin. Ideally, original articles should not have been published elsewhere prior to publication in Zanin, however, at this stage we do not wish to apply this very strictly. Nevertheless, all articles must contain novel aspects that will make them worthy of publication.

Submission constitutes an authorization for publication by KSMA, on a non-exclusive basis. No compensation is offered for published manuscripts. The articles will be archive in electronic format at KSMA database. Authors are fully responsible for the published material, and the journal and/or KSMA are not liable for the content of any article published in Zanin.

Brief Guidelines for Submitting

    • All papers should be submitted electronically in Word Document or RTF format, using Arial font type.

    • Manuscripts must include abstracts (no more than 150 words) outlining the contents of the paper.

    • The rest of the manuscripts should be divided into logical sections. Original research articles should consist of introduction, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment and references.

    • Images and tables should be formatted and submitted separately. Clear and adequate legends should accompany each image. They should be numbered in the order of appearance in the text.

    • Papers written in Arabic script (Arabic, Persian, Central Kurdish) must be typed using Tahoma font, which is standard in MAC and Microsoft Windows based systems.

    • The manuscript should be submitted by e-mail and full contact details of each author should be provided.

    • Reference must be presented in a consistent format. You may use any citation format you prefer, except that each reference citation must include the entire author list, year of publication, full article title and full name of the scientific journal, journal volume, and journal page numbers.

Authors should submit articles to the most suitable editor on the editorial board, i.e. one whose speciality is closest to the topic. The editor may seek the opinion of one or two experts (referees) before making a decision on the article’s suitability for publication in Zanin. The editor will have a significant in put in terms of improving the style, presentation and language of the manuscript. The editor’s decision for publication is final, however, he/she may wish to consult other editors before making a final decision. Authors who are not satisfied with the chosen editor’s decision will have the right of appeal and should request reconsideration. In this case, the Editor-in-Chief will assist with the final decision.
