The positive normative distinction and its impact on economics

Idea: Give some history of the positive normative distinction, and how it shaped ideas of economists. Of crucial importance is Weber's separation of facts and values, and the claim that values are not part of science. This led to the suppression of values from economic theory. Some of these issues are explored in the papers attached to this page below. Three themes need to be developed:
