An Islamic view of European history would recognize that the past few centuries, called the "rise of the West", have actually been a story of the decline of the West. From a position, where the West had a grasp of basic human realities, they have become almost morally blind. For example, the Bible states that the "Love of Money is the root of all evil". This has been replaced by Bernard Shaw's wisdom that "Lack of money is the root of all evil." In just a few decades, homosexuality went from being a psychological aberration and a crime to normal; to the extent that it is now a crime to speak against it. Similarly, in manyl domains of human interactions, current western positions are often the opposite of the correct ones. Here are some readings which will help the reader to come to a worldview which reverses the "good' and "bad" from the currently dominant one. Some of the books below are written from a Eurocentric point of view, but provide useful data necessary as input to the Islamo-Centric view.

Decline of Moralilty in the West. Instead of focussing on the increasing wealth and power of the West, also possessed by Qaroon and Fir'aun, we should focus on the decline of morality and its terrible consequences in the past three centuried.

Provides an accurate history of the loot rape and plunder, and the exploitation and oppression in the age of imperialism and colonialism. It is a useful antidote to the White Man's Burden view of history which most Muslims have been taught to believe.
