Undergraduate course teaching (Sept 2018)

Course: Membrane and Cellular Biochemistry (MBIO 3460), Department of Microbiology, University of Manitoba.

Details: I have taught two lectures (membrane imaging) in this course chaired by Dr. Spencer Gibson. I have efficiently delivered my lectures to students by using PowerPoint presentation combined with whiteboard writing and body language. The full understanding of my lectures led students to applaud at the end of each lecture.

Teaching certificate from The Center for Research on Learning and Teaching at the University of Michigan (September 13-October 25, 2010)

Training program: Postdoctoral Short-Course on College Teaching in Science and Engineering.

Course discussion and practice: Teaching strategies, curriculum design, teaching technology, inquiry-based science teaching, class teaching practice with active learning, and syllabus design for a future class in a specific field.

Teaching course taken as a Ph.D. student, University of Manitoba (Sept 2000 to Feb 2004)

Training program: Graduate course "Microbial Advanced Molecular Biology".

Course practice: Teaching a section of the course by preparing lectures, giving oral lecture presentations and assignments to other students, evaluating presentations and assignments given by other students.
