Our goal is to facilitate conversations about eternal things through secular portals that point people to the hope of Christ.
-> Fixed Point Foundation:
Includes Debates. It is our mission to seek innovative ways to defend and proclaim the Gospel and to prepare Christians to do the same. Whether it is our traditional concepts of human dignity and purpose or our understanding of what constitutes right and wrong, Christianity has served as the primary source of inspiration, giving light to law, government, the arts and sciences—indeed, giving light to what Dostoevsky called, “The Eternal Questions.”
That we have gradually lost sight of our Christian heritage is obvious even to the casual observer. In recent decades, however, we have witnessed aggressive efforts to demolish it systematically. Complicating matters is the fact that many Christians have imbibed any number of erroneous assumptions concerning their own faith, such as: Christianity lacks intellectual credibility; the Bible contradicts science; sincerity matters more than truth; Christian ethics cannot cope with the complexities of modern life; Jesus Christ is a way rather than the way; “diversity” is a value and “tolerance” means anything goes; and the list goes on.

:: SCIENTISTS, HISTORIANS,
PHILOSOPHERS
WHO DID NOT GROW UP CHRISTIAN ::
-> Did you know that there are many respected cold-case homicide detectives, scientists, cosmologists, philosophers, english professors, geneticists, software engineers, mathematicians, journalists, law professors, history professors, physicists who were committed atheists and agnostics, who sought to disprove the Christian Worldview (e.g., the historical reliability of the Bible, the existence, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the existence of God) but then something happened while they were researching and testing the Christian Worldview that convinced them to reject their view and adopt the Christian worldview (usually after several years of research and investigation)?
Many are well known and respected figures in their disciplines (such as archaeology, law, apologetics, historians).
Their testimony and work argue against statements such as “the Bible on a historical basses is flawed in many ways” and “Christian apologists are not real historians”.
Read their accounts/stories/journeys for yourself:
We should keep in mind that to attack a person instead of the argument is a logical fallacy (Ad Hominem) as well as judging an argument by it's source (Genetic Fallacy).
* Simon Greenleaf: “one of the principle founders of the Harvard Law School, originally set out to disprove the biblical testimony concerning the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He was certain that a careful examination of the internal witness of the Gospels would dispel all the myths at the heart of Christianity. But this legal scholar came to the conclusion that the witnesses were reliable, and that the resurrection did in fact happen."
Cited from http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/jesus/greenleaf.html
He had written The Principles of Legal Evidence and some of his students challenged him to take his book and apply it to the resurrection of Christ and investigate the reliability of the evidence of Jesus rising from the dead. So he accepted their challenge and after his study he said, “There’s no better documented historical evidence than that for the resurrection of Christ. ” And he added, “I am convinced that you can convince any jury in England or America that Christ rose from the dead.” 22
“Simon Greenleaf [1783-1853] was Dane Professor at Harvard Law School during its formative period. An expert on evidence, his most important publication is his three-volume Treatise on the Law of Evidence [1842-1853], the standard textbook in American law throughout the Nineteenth century. Along with Joseph Story, he is responsible for the emergence of Harvard Law School and played an important role in the establishment of modern American legal scholarship.” Cited from http://www.amazon.com/Testimony-Evangelists-Examined-Evidence-Administered/dp/1584770953/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
* J. Warner Wallace: “...cold-case homicide detective, a Christian case maker and an author. Jim was a conscientious and vocal atheist through his undergraduate and graduate work in Design and Architecture (CSULB and UCLA); he always considered himself to be an “evidentialist”. His experience in law enforcement only served to strengthen his conviction that truth is tied directly to evidence. But at the age of thirty-five, J. Warner took a serious and expansive look at the evidence for the Christian Worldview and determined that Christianity was demonstrably true. After becoming a Christ follower in 1996, Jim continued to take an evidential approach to truth as he examined the Christian worldview. He eventually earned a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.” - See more at: http://coldcasechristianity.com/j-warner-wallace-christian-apologist-and-author/#sthash.hhoSzQJz.dpuf

* C.S. Lewis: “Lewis graduated from Oxford University with a focus on literature and classic philosophy, and in 1925 was awarded a fellowship teaching position at Magdalen College, which was part of the university. There, he also joined the group known as The Inklings, an informal collective of writers and intellectuals who counted among their members Lewis's brother, Warren Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien. It was through conversations with group members that Lewis found himself re-embracing Christianity after having become disillusioned with the faith as a youth. He would go on to become renowned for his rich apologist texts, where he explained his spiritual beliefs via platforms of logic and philosophy.” Cited from http://www.biography.com/people/cs-lewis-9380969#early-life
* Josh McDowell: “he was as an agnostic at college when he decided to prepare a paper that would examine the historical evidence of the Christian faith in order to disprove it. However, he converted to Christianity, after, as he says, he found evidence for it, not against it. He subsequently enrolled at Wheaton College, Illinois, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then studied at Talbot Theological Seminary of Biola University, La Mirada, California. He... [later] was awarded the Master of Divinity degree graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 1982 McDowell was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by Simon Greenleaf School of Law, now Trinity Law School, in recognition of his ministry and writings. McDowell was also a visiting lecturer at that school in the 1980s.” Cited from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_McDowell and his books.
* Lee Stobel: “It was during his years as a journalist that Strobel was an avowed atheist. That period of his life ended in 1981 with his conversion to Christianity, which was influenced by his wife's conversion two years earlier and Strobel's subsequent personal investigation into the historical, scientific, and philosophical evidence for Christianity, which is the subject of many of his books...the scholars whom Strobel interviews are authorities in their respective fields who themselves often appeal to the consensus of mainstream scholarship in the related disciplines discussed.” Cited from http://www.biblio.com/author_biographies/2097181/Lee_Strobel.html
* Frank Morrison: “The strangeness of the Resurrection story had captured his attention, and, influenced by skeptic thinkers at the turn of the century, he set out to prove that the story of Christ’s Resurrection was only a myth. His probings, however, led him to discover the validity of the biblical record in a moving, personal way.” Cited from http://www.amazon.com/Who-Moved-Stone-Frank-Morison/dp/0310295610
“(a rationalistic lawyer) decided to take three years off from his practice to disprove the resurrection. After three years of study, he found that the sheer weight of the evidence compelled him to conclude that Jesus actually did rise from the dead. As a consequence he wrote the book: Who Moved the Stone”. Cited from http://www.debate.org.uk/debate-topics/theological/resurrec/
* Gary Habermas (Ph.D. History and Philosophy of Religion): "For more than ten years, he faced uncertainty about key Christian claims and searched other religious and non-religious systems, especially naturalism. His studies centered chiefly on investigating various world views, occasionally getting close to what he thought might be the proper approach.... He searched the various religious systems to ascertain if such claims were verifiable. After several years of study, he concluded that very few religious claims could be substantiated. Habermas concluded that even Christianity suffered in this sense. While certainly having more evidential considerations than other religions, there always seemed to be a reason why the argument could not be finalized. While Habermas conducted detailed studies of creation, fulfilled prophecy, archaeological discoveries, and the general reliability of the Old and New Testaments, he constantly asked if there were any "clinching" arguments...
He realized that if Jesus had been raised from the dead, this would go a long way toward arguing that Christianity was true. He also studied the founders of the major religious traditions, along with some lesser-known figures, to see if there were other claims that someone had been raised from the dead. He was especially interested in whether there was any historical or other evidence for any such teachings.” Cited from http://www.theopedia.com/Gary_Habermas
"Studying relevant historical, philosophical, and religious questions, Habermas proposed an historical study of Jesus’ resurrection (what else?) for his Ph.D. dissertation. The topic was approved by his committee, but he was told specifically that he could not use the New Testament as evidence, unless the individual passages could be affirmed by ordinary critical standards, apart from faith." Cited from https://www.garyhabermas.com/vitainnuce.htm
"He has dedicated his professional life to the examination of the relevant historical, philosophical, and theological issues surrounding the death and resurrection of Jesus. His extensive list of publications and debates provides a thorough account of the current state of the issue. He has also specialized in cataloging and communicating trends among scholars in the field of historical Jesus and New Testament studies." Cited from http://www.garyhabermas.com/

* John Warwick Montgomery: "[He] was brought over the threshold of Christian faith 'kicking and struggling'.... A persistent engineering student succeeded in goading Montgomery into religious discussions. Montgomery, a philosophy major disinterested in religion, found himself forced to consider seriously the claims of Jesus Christ in the New Testament in order to preserve big intellectual integrity. After no mean struggle he acknowledged his rebellion against God and asked His forgiveness... He holds ten earned degrees, Including a Master of Philosophy in Law from the University of Essex, England, a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and a Doctorate of the University in Protestant Theology from the University of Strasbourg, France, and the higher doctorate in law (LL.D.) from the University of Cardiff, Wales." * Gerald Lawrence Schroeder is an Orthodox Jewish physicist, author, lecturer and teacher at College of Jewish Studies Aish HaTorah's Discovery Seminar, Essentials and Fellowships programs and Executive Learning Center, who focuses on what he perceives to be an inherent relationship between science and spirituality.
Nuclear scientist Gerald Schroeder '59, SM '61, PhD '65 sees no conflict between religion and science. On the contrary, he sees them as linked. He's explored that link in several books, including Genesis and the Big Bang and The Science of God, and writes about the Bible and science for many prominent journals.

* Francis Sellers Collins
"An American physician-geneticist noted for his discoveries of disease genes and his leadership of the Human Genome Project (HGP). He currently serves as Director of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Prior to being appointed Director, he was the founder and president of the BioLogos Foundation, an organization that promotes discourse on the relationship between science and religion and advocates the perspective that belief in Christianity can be reconciled with acceptance of evolution and science.
Collins also wrote the New York Times bestseller, The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief, which discusses Collins' conversion from atheism to Christianity, evaluates the evidence for Christianity, and argues for theistic evolution. In 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed Collins to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
Collins received a PhD in Physical Chemistry at Yale University in 1974 and then enrolled in medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning there an MD in 1977.”

* Rosaria Butterfield
"A former professor of English and women’s studies at Syracuse University, converted to Christ in 1999 in what she describes as a train wreck....
Raised and educated in liberal Catholic settings, Rosaria fell in love with the world of words. In her late twenties, allured by feminist philosophy and LGBTQ+ advocacy, she adopted a lesbian identity. Rosaria earned her PhD from Ohio State University, then served in the English department and women's studies program at Syracuse University from 1992 to 2002. Her primary academic field was critical theory, specializing in queer theory. Her historical focus was 19th-century literature, informed by Freud, Marx, and Darwin. She advised the LGBTQ+ student group, wrote Syracuse University’s policy for same-sex couples, and actively lobbied for LGBTQ+ aims alongside her lesbian partner.
In 1997, while Rosaria was researching the Religious Right “and their politics of hatred against people like me,” she wrote an article against the Promise Keepers. A response to that article triggered a meeting with Ken Smith, who became a resource on the Religious Right and their Bible, a confidant, and a friend. In 1999, after repeatedly reading the Bible in large chunks for her research, Rosaria converted to Christianity."

* Becket Cook
The Becket Cook Show was created by Becket Cook to discuss relevant topics and to crush the lies of culture with truth. Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually became a production designer working on fashion shoots for brands such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
Becket lived as a gay man until 2009, when he reluctantly agreed to attend a church service at which he was transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping people understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.

* Guillaume Bignon
Was a French atheist . . . and he was perfectly happy. He was very successful as a software engineer in finance, a musician, and a volleyball player. Yet a chance encounter with a beautiful woman would change the way he thought about his life and beliefs forever.
Confessions of a French Atheist is the unusual story of Guillaume Bignona man who didnt need God but who grew to believe in God after he thought through the nature of morality, the relationship between science and faith, the supernatural, and the reliability of the Bible. With rigorous reasoning, remarkable authenticity, and a sense of humor, Guillaume takes the reader on a journey of his innermost questions and surprising discoveries.
“Vacation ended, she flew back to New York, I flew back to Paris, and there we were, now involved in a problematic long-distance relationship.
THE UNBELIEVING PRAYER EXPERIMENT
Her religious beliefs clearly remained the problem, and my new goal in life was essentially to explain to her why all this was untenable, so that she could put this nonsense behind her, and we could be together without her misconceptions standing in the way. So I started thinking about the whole thing. What good reason was there to think God exists, and what good reason was there to think atheism was true instead?
This step was important, because my own unbelief was comfortably resting on the fact that (smart) people around me didn’t believe in God either, but it was more a reasonable life assumption than the conclusion of a solid argument. So I started to take the question seriously, to objectively assess its credibility. But of course, if I was going to refute Christianity, I first needed to know what exactly it affirmed. So I picked up a Bible to figure it out. And at the same time, since I’m a scientist, I figured there was at least one experiment that could be carried out to dis-confirm the belief that God exists: I thought “if any of this is true, then there is a God who exists right now and presumably cares greatly about this project of mine”, so I started to pray in the air as an atheist “If there is a God, then here I am, I’m looking into this, why don’t you go ahead and reveal yourself to me. I’m open.” Well, I wasn’t, really, but I figured that shouldn’t stop God if He existed. So I read in the gospels about this Jesus of Nazareth….” Get his full story at

-> American Gospel
We believe American culture's influence on the gospel is a problem, so an "American Gospel" is a distorted, corrupted gospel. That distortion happens when you add to the gospel (promises of "the American dream" of health, wealth, & prosperity), or when you subtract from the gospel (due to the influence of postmodernism, relativism, religious pluralism, etc.).

I want to awaken American evangelicals to the fact that Christianity is among the most intellectually defensible world views out there. But also, it doesn’t take a degree in Astrophysics or Theology to engage in intelligent discussion. I am convinced that anyone with an open mind and willing heart, including a photographer like myself, can learn to engage in discussion and give a reasoned defense of the hope that is within them (1 Peter 3:15).

- > Mama Bear Apologetics
“We here at Mama Bear Apologetics use the ROAR method. ROAR is an acronym for:
Recognize the message
Offer discernment (affirm the good and reject the bad)
Argue for a healthier approach
Reinforce through discussion, discipleship, and prayer
We are in a culture war, and unfortunately, a lot of people are talking past each other. Why? Because neither side will recognize the good that their opponent is offering! The ROAR method is intended to identify a message and analyze its ideas with grace and truth. Doing this requires identifying the good intentions, separating them from the bad ideas, synthesizing a healthier approach, and strategically praying through the battle of ideas.”

As a lifelong church-goer, follower of Jesus, and former CCM recording artist, I experienced a period of profound doubt about my faith in my mid-thirties. I felt as though I had been tossed in a stormy ocean of uncertainty with no life jacket or lifeboat in sight. I didn't know where to find answers to my questions, or if answers existed at all. Did I have to accept it all on some kind of blind faith? This is my journey from unreasoned doubt into vibrant, intellectually informed faith.

Christian worldview commentary from the Colson Center.
The Colson Center for Christian Worldview is a ministry that equips
Christians to live out their faith with clarity, confidence, and courage in this cultural moment.
We live in a moment of cultural confusion. Fewer and fewer of the things that give meaning to our lives come easily. Family, community, beauty, truth seem to be constantly eroding around us—while our news feeds are full of despair, anger, and division.
How are Christians to make sense of the world around us? How can we make sure we have clarity in our daily lives?
Welcome to BreakPoint. A program of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, our commentaries offer incisive content people can’t find anywhere else; content that cuts through the fog of relativism and the news cycle with truth and compassion.
Through the proclamation of Truth, leadership training, and collaboration with like-minded organizations, The Colson Center for Christian Worldview seeks to build and resource a movement of Christians committed to living and defending the Christian worldview.
Informing: Applying sound Christian worldview thinking to the key issues of the day...Equiping: Teaching and mentoring Christians to become true leaders in their spheres of influence...Uniting: Working with Christians and Christian organizations across the denominational spectrum to advance the Kingdom of God, focusing on the critical issues of our day...

–> yourfallacy.is
A logical fallacy is a flaw in reasoning. Logical fallacies are like tricks or illusions of thought, and they're often very sneakily used by politicians and the media to fool people. Don't be fooled! This website has been designed to help you identify and call out dodgy logic wherever it may raise its ugly, incoherent head.
This was our ‘proof of concept’ to demonstrate that combining design with critical thinking would prove effective. We created a microsite that took the heady subject of logical fallacies – which are flaws in reasoning often used by politicians, the media and advertisers to manipulate – and condensed each fallacy into a single, simple sentence that anyone could understand.

-> The Matter Of Life
I was a pro-choice Christian. Actually, I never gave myself that label. In fact, I didn't give the ethics of abortion much thought. If I ever had to describe my point of view, it would have been "personally pro-life." In other words, "I don't want to force my beliefs onto others."
The moment of conception. My background is in film and video production –specifically, as an editor for documentaries. For a few years, I had been making promotional videos for a Pregnancy Resource Center on the side. And one day –in 2016– my friends on staff at the Center invited me to a special presentation at a church. The speaker was Alan Shlemon of Stand to Reason and the topic was The Case Against Abortion Choice. He gave logically sound arguments and invited the the audience to look at images of abortion aftermath. It struck me. I was convinced of the full humanity of the unborn child and finally understood the truth.
Everything changed. I was shocked that I had never heard this information until that point. And I knew there were many young adults out there like me who were still in the dark about the abortion issue. And it was in that presentation that I felt a calling to make a documentary that eventually became The Matter of Life.
