Why not just take this to its logical conclusion?

So let's rewrite it: "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's [Government] entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by [the government or majority] with certain unalienable [as long as we define them to be] Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness...And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of [the State or ourselves, because divine Providence does not exist], we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." We will continue to rewrite the Declaration to reflect whatever appears to “work‟ where happiness (positive) or consequences (negative) are concerned; whatever is right for the particular person in the particular situation; and whatever “feels‟ right at the given moment.
* We now have a Declaration that affirms a universal, absolute, objective moral standard that transcends culture, personal opinion, and history-- first principles that guarantee life, liberty, and justice and that at the same time is anchored not in a transcendent, absolute and personal Being but in naturalism, macroevolution, relative human rights, and personal opinion. Welcome to the new USA!
