Question : Why does everyone need to believe the same thing to go to heaven? Why do some people get in and others not?

A similar questions is “Are you saying that just because someone doesn’t believe in Jesus they are going to Hell?"

Our goal at Worldview Cafe is to provide you with good answers to your questions and good reasons to believe that the Christian worldview best represents reality. So, here is our answer to that question:

A) “Do you think people who commit moral crimes ought to be punished?”

1) We both believe people who do bad things, e.g, commit moral crimes such as murder, rape, genocide should be punished

2) We have all committed moral crimes perhaps not the “greater” ones, such as murder and rape but we have all done things, such as being envious of others; cheated; stolen something that belongs to someone else either an idea, comment, praise or physical object; not honored or respected our parents; hated someone; lusted over someone... so we’re all guilty and should be punished.

3) That’s humanity’s greatest problem.

a) News is filled with stories of greed, distrust, robberies, conflict, killings, war, destruction and

death.

b) If people are basically good, how did we get a bad society to start with?

c) We have to teach and learn to be patient, kind and unselfish. We are born with the opposite characteristics: impatience, uncaring and selfishness.

B) The Solution to this problem according to the Christian Worldview:

1) Note: I do not expect you or anyone else to blindly believe or accept the following to be true without any evidence.

a) We would be happy to give further explanation as to how the Christian Worldview makes logical sense, agrees with what we know about the world and ourselves and answers life’s most important questions

-- A Very Brief Answer:

“A loving God would make Heaven possible for all of us while respecting the free will desires of some of us. A loving God would reward those of us who have decided to choose Him while dealing justly with those of us who have decided to choose against Him. For this reason, Heaven simply cannot be the destination of every human who has ever lived. Heaven is not compulsory, but is instead the destiny of those who love the God who reigns there and have accepted His invitation.” - See more at: http://coldcasechristianity.com/2013/wouldnt-a-loving-god-make-sure-everyone-gets-to-heaven/#sthash.CO2S7mrC.dpuf
