Jesus claimed to be the source and definition of the truth about reality: Metaphysics (why there is something rather than nothing), Theology (God), Epistemology (knowledge), Ethics (morality), and Anthropology (nature of man). (John 18:37; 14:6; 8:31-32)
::What is Worldview Café::
Definitions:
- A Worldview (WV) is how someone views reality. A person's worldview is “the sum total of their answers to the important questions in life.” 5, 9 It is a philosophical system and a set of beliefs that tries to explain all of reality.6,9 A worldview provides the basic foundation for the various religions and philosophies of life. 6 It can also be defined as a set of assumptions which may or may not be true which people hold knowingly or unknowingly about the universe, God, truth, morality, and death.7 Our worldview must adequately answer questions of origin (where do we come from?), meaning (why are we here?), morality (what’s right and what’s wrong?) and destiny (where are we going?) 13 Moreover, the worldview we hold drives how we think, act and feel... what we really believe (The Truth Project).8 And our WV affects the way you look at everything... life, death, politics, parenting, education, etc.10 Furthermore, since each WV holds to central beliefs that are opposed by the others, then logically only one worldview can be true; the others must be false.6

- Jesus' worldview—His view of life-- is a biblical worldview: a way to think from a biblical perspective. Embracing it means understanding and living life from God's perspective. “Our worldview must be formed out of our relationship with God as defined through Christ by His Word and empowered by His Holy Spirit... The Christian faith that forms our worldview... is a way of knowing and being and living in right relationship with God, ourselves, others and the world around us.” 4
- A Café from a cultural perspective, is a center of social interaction. They provide social members with a place to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups.
Therefore, Worldview Café is a place where people can freely and respectfully interact and talk about the views they have about the world.
