This page will help students to reset their TDSB account password, learn how to use various school platforms and provide assistance with account and security issues.

1. TDSB WIFI INSTRUCTIONS

2. How to reset password

  • Ask your teacher, librarian, guidance counselor, administrator to reset your password to the shared secret

  • Enter your student number (no dashes) as User Name

  • Your new password is the last 4 digits of the student number + day of birth then month of birth @ Tdsb

  • Create a new password. Click here for TDSB Network Password Policy details

Students in Grades 5-12 can reset their own passwords directly on the login page of many online tools, including Brightspace and Zoom. Once registered, students will be able to use security questions, email, phone, text message or an “authenticator” smartphone app, to validate their password reset requests.

3. Logging into aw.tdsb.on.ca

Returning Students of Woburn or TDSB that were within a TDSB School last calendar year, your password is still the same. If you forgotten your password, you can use the Password Manager if you previously filled out your security questions.

New Students to the TDSB or Returning Students greater than 1 calendar year away from a TDSB school, your current password is

Username: Student ID number.

Password: Type in the following: ####DDMM@Tdsb

#### = Last four digits of student number, 2 digit of date of birth, 2 digits of month of birth, @Tdsb

Example:

If Student Number 123456789 and Birthday: April 9th, 2000 (April is the 4th month of the year)

Shared Secret Password = 67890904@Tdsb

Student will need to create a NEW password – The User’s password should be more than 8 characters long, begin with a letter. Must not contain your name.

It's recommended the new password should contain at least one Upper case letter, one Lower case letter and a number or symbol

6. TDSB Connect App

TDSB has launched a new online app to help high school students stay connected and organized.

It is designed with secondary students in mind, helping them stay organized with school work, see their daily school calendar and stay in touch with their school community. By logging in with their TDSB school ID, their timetable is automatically populated allowing them to easily add notes, goals and details to each course.

Schools can also share announcements, updates, local calendars and more to help students stay connected and informed.

Subsequent phases include features such as the student safety line, notifications and opportunities to share your voice, and also a version for elementary students and families.

The TDSB Connects App supports our commitment to be more digitally-friendly, reduce paper and find new and engaging ways to connect with students to support their success.

7. Google Takeout/Transfer Instructions

Students leaving the TDSB will need to either move/download their content using Google Takeout or use Google Transfer to move their content to their personal Google account.

8. Suspicious web activity or Phishing emails

Don't click on suspicious links. Report any suspicious websites or suspected email scams to the school administration and SpamReporting@tdsb.on.ca
