The Northeast Illinois Council (NEIC) is once again hosting the Family Camporee at Indian Mound Scout Reservation in Oconomowoc, WI, just west of Milwaukee, on April 28-30. This is a great opportunity for your whole family to enjoy a weekend of scouting. The program begins with check in on Friday night and goes through Sunday morning, but you could easily do this as a day trip on Saturday to balance other family commitments. The heated barricks style cabins are clean and nice, but you have an option to pitch a tent if you really want to rough it. The agenda is action packed with a lot of fun activities, including BB guns, archery, rock climbing, rockets, crafts, nature hikes, a castle, fireside skits, etc. The scouts get a head start earning their badges at the next level and are grouped by age. This is a ton of fun and will give you a chance at another camping experience this year. Since this is a council event, our scout dues do not cover the cost, but early bird is $60 per person. It's a bargain for the fun. Contact Chris Lang if you have questions, since he and Matthew attended last year along with the McGrath's. We need a better turn out this year by Pack One! It's easy highway driving all the way. Here is the link with more info: http://www.neic.org/Events/CubScoutFamilyCamp2017
