Fall Conservation Service Project

Sunday October 9th 9am-12pm

The annual Pack Conservation Project will be 9am to noon on Sunday, October 9th at Watersmeet Prairie Grove, located off Winnetka Road between Happ and Wagner roads in Northfield. We will working with the North Branch Restoration Project to help restore native plants to the Forest Preserve by collecting their seeds for planting. Meet by the red Cook County Forest Preserve sign across from Avon Ave. You are encouraged to come even if you are not able to stay for the entire time.

There is no parking lot at Watersmeet, you may park either on Avon Ave near the entrance to Watersmeet or on the north side of Winnetka Road Parking on the south side of Winnetka Road is prohibited. Be advised that there are also no restroom facilities. Please bring water, the volunteers at North Branch Restoration Project will provide a snack.
