Note: Ando's thesis will be based on Chapters 9, 10, and 17 of Tadelis (2012) and extensively use Prisoner's Dilemma game as a basic building block.

Ryo Sato's thesis will be based on Chapters 8 and 15 of Tadelis (2012).

July 20 (Mon): Okabe, Goki Sato, and Watanabe present the proposal of their thesis and Ryo Sato discusses Chapter 15: Sequential Rationality with Incomplete Information from Proposition 15.1 (p. 311).

Note: Goki Sato's thesis will be based on Chapters 12, 13, and 14 of Tadelis (2012) with a special emphasis on mechanism design (Chapter 14).

Okabe's thesis will be based on Chapters 12 and 13 of Tadelis (2012) with some emphasis on foundations of Bayesian games.

Watanabe's thesis will be based on Chapters 15, 16, and 18 of Tadelis (2012) with a special emphasis on signalling and cheap-talk games.

Oct 5 (Mon): We have the seminar on this date at Room 24 of Daigaku-Honkan from 14:40 - 17:50. The students submit the 1st draft of their thesis and give the report on its progress. After this, Dokei discusses Chapter 16: Signalling Games

Oct 12 (Mon): Dokei discusses Chapter 16: Signalling Games from 16.2: Limit Pricing and Entry Deterrence (p. 323).

Oct 19 (Mon): Dokei discusses Chapter 16: Signalling Games from Step 5 of 16.2.1 Separating Equilibria (pp. 327-330) and the students submit the 2nd draft of their thesis and give the report on its progress.

Nov 9 (Mon): We have the seminar on this date at Room 24 of Daigaku-Honkan from 14:40 - 17:50. Dokei discusses Chapter 16: Signaling Games from 16.2.2. Pooling Equilibria (p.330-) and the students submit the 2nd draft of their thesis and give the report on its progress.

Nov 16 (Mon): Ando discusses Chapter 17: Building a Reputation.

Nov 23 (Mon): Ando discusses Chapter 17: Building a Reputation (p.348-) and the students submit their 3rd draft of their thesis and give the report on its progress.

Nov 30 (Mon): Watanabe discusses Chapter 18: Information Transmission and Cheap Talk and the students submit their 3rd draft of their thesis and give the report on its progress.

Dec 7 (Mon): Watanabe continues his discussion from Chapter 18.2 : Information Transmission: The Continuous Case and the students give the final presentation of their thesis.

Dec 14 (Mon): Watanabe continues his discussion from Chapter 18.2: Application: Information and Legislative Organization and the students give the final presentation of their thesis.

Dec 21 (Mon): We have the seminar on this date at Room 24 of Daigaku-Honkan from 14:40 - 17:50. The students give the final presentation of their thesis.

Dec 22(Tue) - 25(Fri): In principle, Kunimoto should be available in his office during this time period.

Dec 27 (Mon): The students work on wrapping up their thesis.

The Year of 2016

Jan 11 (Mon): The students are required to submit the draft of the thesis to Takashi Kunimoto by email.

Jan 18 (Mon): The students are required to submit the draft of the thesis to Takashi Kunimoto by email.

Jan 25 (Mon): The students are required to submit the draft of the thesis to Takashi Kunimoto by email.

Jan 29 (Fri): This is the due date of the Bachelor thesis. Each student must send by email Takashi Kunimoto the electronic (either MS word or pdf) file of his thesis to Takashi Kunimoto by 5:00pm. You should click on this to know the whole procedure of the Bachelor thesis.

Feb 17(Wed): By this date, each student must submit the hard copy of his thesis to Nobuko Okada-san (Joshu at Economic Theory Division) at Isono Building 320 (3rd floor). To submit your thesis to Okada-san, you must make your thesis a formal book.
