October 22, 2024 Algebra II graphing and modeling with the TI-Nspire
Get calculator, graphing and modeling/regression tips and activities to help teach and help students explore and learn with TI Nspire technology.
Polynomial equations and functions: graphing and evaluating, finding relative extrema, and an exploration of zeros.
Modeling various functions: linear, quadratic, exponential
Perform statistical regression, choosing the best model, and interpolating and extrapolating information.

1. Graphing tips and tricks
(The Graphs Application pdf for those who are new and appreciate a handout with what buttons to press)
tricks: ctrl menu (right-click), ctrl T for table, ANALYZE graph, TRACE a polynomial - press ENTER to drop a point.
Don't use the Scratchpad if you want to use additional menu options for Geometry > Intersection. Use a New Document.
More tips on my covenantbird Youtube channel for finding intersection points.
2. Math Nspired activity: Exploring Polynomials - factors, roots and zeros
(Math Nspired-Alg 2/Polynomials)
3. FactorGame.tns - using technology to help them not use technology and to get practice finding zeros of polynomials. Available at https://sites.google.com/site/tinspiregroup in the Algebra folder
4. Data Collection - See the Alg2 webinar.tns file
