My Personal Learning Diary CLIL EVO 2016 week 5

WEEK5

CLIL REPOSITORY FOR AN INNOVATIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

8th February 2016

My last week online with TECHNOCLIL.

The issues discussed in this week were THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM and BOYD.

This is the link to an article explaining BOYD:

Currently I am doing the EVO session for Flipped Learning and I must admit that I have learnt a lot and shared a lot of ideas.

BOYD is not new to me as when I was doing the courses with ZANICHELLI in Italy some of the teachers had already introduced the term. I belong to a generation of teachers who are experimenting and trying to work in a different way, in some way I am a flipper and I have also used BYOD.

I would like to underline that the great revolution that is happening in education is linked to the work carried out by the teachers who are using technology to enhance teaching. More and more we need to plan activities which are in class and out of class and we need to get our students more engaged in doing, in learning on their own and as a class, in working together and in reducing TTT ( Teacher Talking Time).

Flipped Learning is for me a new way for helping my students to enter education and lessons as " active learners". The infographic which is shared in this page is a good example of what we mean by it.

IDEAS FROM THE WEBINARS

Exploiting Infographics for CLIL from Nik Peachey

What I have learnt so far?

CLIL is an interesting experience in education: we just need to learn from the others, share ideas and think more about our students and what they need in real life.

CLIL requires a team of educators engaged in carrying out researches, working in team and loving a different approach where Technologies and web 2.0 tools are a must.

Thanks to all the Teachers who worked in the EVO SESSION and shared their ideas.
