Not only Teaching

I discovered a new world when I read about COURSERA about three years ago: I decided that I wanted to try MOOCs and at first I worked with FUTURELEARN, later I tried COURSERA, EDX.ORG and more platforms on line. I must confess that they offered me the best way for learning on line from home. I have started to do more MOOCs now and they have all been good, engagind and have enriched my CPD.

The great one is this course from COURSERA : EDMOOC which made me think about the future of education and the use of new technologies. Here you can see some artefacts which we did at the end of the course, they represent our great works and the use of new tools , because a teacher needs to use new tools now: have a look and you will be surprised and learn more about the new world of Learning.

Another interesting MOOC was about the history of the BRITISH EMPIRE - the course was run by FUTURE LEARN and I must confess that I discovered a lot of new things about the EMPIRE: MOOCs can offer a lot of interesting topics and there are more and more that can be useful for us as teachers. Most of them are offered by universities and departments from the UK, USA and Ireland and the level of English is good for anyone who needs to keep updated and get access to more information about topics in history, art, literature.
