(to the tune of “Time After Time”)
Wandering in samsara
With all three types of suffering
Pleasant feelings don’t endure
What misery will aging bring?
Mindstream afflicted
With the kleshas
Harmful deeds committed
Bad karma
Sometimes you think of me
Caught up in eight mundane concerns
Can’t recall four thoughts
On which the mind turns
Virtue flashes
Occasionally
Seize opportunity
If you’re lost, seek refuge
The three jewels will guide you
Life after life
If you fall, I will catch you
I’ll be praying
Life after life
Whenever I practice
Ignorance lifts away
Doing the Ngondro
I’m finally finding my way
Saying mantras
Ten thousand times
I’ll purify my mind
If you’re lost, seek refuge
The three jewels will guide you
Life after life
If you fall, I will catch you
I’ll be praying
Life after life
