Richard Griffith was born in 1643 in Coleraine, Londonderry, Northern Ireland, the son of Rebeccae and Thomas. He married Jane Leslie in 1660 in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. They had six children in 14 years. He died on March 24, 1717, in Kilkenny, Ireland, at the age of 74.
When Jane Leslie and her twin brother Rev. Dr. John were born in 1650 in Coleraine, Londonderry, Northern Ireland, their father, John, was 79 and their mother, Kathrein, was 33. She married Richard Griffith in 1670 in her hometown. They had six children in 14 years. She died in 1690 in Coleraine, Londonderry, Northern Ireland, at the age of 40. (Information from Ancestry family trees. It is odd to see that she had a brother born in the same year but she born in Ireland and he is Scotland lol).
Some information on this is at The Descendants of Robert I de NORMANDIE "The Magnificent" born about 1003.

Genealogy.com also gives this research into the Griffith family:
Sir Morris Griffith was given a considerable estate was granted in the county of Leitrim in Ireland in 1612.
His nephew, Edward Griffith, was living in 1649 (presumably also in Ireland). They were both descended from a scion (ie offshoot) of the family of Griffith of Penrhyn in North Wales. The pedigree is from Griffith's Pedigrees of Anglesey and Caernarvon.
Edward Griffith had a son Thomas who was living 1696 and he had a 2nd son: the Very Rev. Richard Griffith (1643-1717), Rector of Coleraine and Dean of Ross who married Jane Leslie and had a son Edward Griffith (who married Abigail, daughter of Sir William Handcock and Elizabeth Coddington, and they had 4 children) and a daughter Jane who married the Rev. Charles Leslie (17/7/1650-13/4/1722) of Glaslough, co. Monaghan, Chancellor of the Cathedral of Connor 1686, who was ancestor of the Leslie Baronets of Glaslough.
