Alexander Cameron was born in circa 1696, in Swordale, Scotland. HIs father was

 Allan MacSorlie Cameron, 11th of Glennevis and his mother was unknown Cameron of Glen Nevis. He was the brother of Angus Cameron and Lady Mary Cameron of Glen Nevis.

Mary Cameron of Dungallon

Mary was born circa 1756 in Swordale, Highlands of Scotland. She was the daughter of Archibald Cameron of Dungallon and Isabel Cameron.

Mary and Alexanders children were Mary Cameron of Lochiel, Ewen Cameron of Lochiel, Donald Cameron, Free Settler "Brilliant" 1838 and Lt. Col. John Cameron, of Achnasaul.
