Robert JESSEP was born in 1660 in Hockham, Norfolk, England. He married Martha Wix on February 27, 1687, in Norwich, Norfolk, England. They had two children during their marriage. He died on May 26, 1726, in East Harling, Norfolk, England, at the age of 66.

As his wife died after only ten years of marriage, it is likely that Robert married again. There is a record of a Thomas Jessep (widower) marrying Elisabeth Shardelow (widow) in St. Andrew, Thorpe-next-Norwich, Norfolk, England, December 1708. (2)

Martha WIX was born in 1660 in Hockham, Norfolk, England. She married Robert JESSEP on February 27, 1687, in Norwich, Norfolk, England. (3)They had two children during their marriage. She died on July 29, 1697, in Norfolk, England, at the age of 37. (1)

(1) This could be our Martha, since the death date is the same, however Timothy (the father) seems to have had a daughter, Martha, christened in January that year, in Norwich ,which was presumably the same daughter? The mother is listed as "Easter Wix".
