Rowing Ireland Introductory Coaching Course in Cork on Tues 12th and Wed 13th Nov 2013

The Introductory course is aimed at those who are seventeen or older and starting coaching under guidance of an experienced coach. It is suitable for rowers with little or no coaching experience who wish to start coaching.

Also suitable for parents or other adults with no rowing background who are willing to learn and help at the club. The course gives coaches the skills, knowledge and qualification to act as an assistant to an experienced club coach. These skills are primarily around safety and welfare issues, which are fundamental to the care of people within the sport plus basic principles and coaching skills applied to organizing training sessions.

Coaches can move on to Level 1 certification later if they build up some coaching experience.

As the ICRF is now part of Rowing Ireland then the members of ICRF affiliated rowing clubs can avail of this coaching course.

Dates: Tues 12th Nov and Wed 13th Nov 6.00pm to 9.30pm.

Cost: 50 Euro payable to the Rowing Ireland office
