Citizens Raising rates

Thank you so much for your response.  The woman who sold us our Miami-Dade approved garage door is so angry with Citizens for what they are doing to Floridians.  Instead of selling garage doors, this small business owner is responding to customers like me who need her help to get the paperwork to prove to Citizens that our garage door is strong.  When I tell you what they said about hiring a structural engineer, you will see how your income is affected as well.  No matter if you proved that our roof could withstand 170mph winds, if we do not have the correct tie downs, our roof is considered a risk.  Therefore, you lose a $575 fee from a customer who would have hired you to professionally assess the structure of our home.  Until Floridians do something about Citizens, we are all subject to their regulations and premium increases.  

If a wind ever lifted this roof off, we are all doomed.
