Meeting Notes May 27, 2020

Wednesday, May 27, 2020 - a business meeting for the Canton of Stormwall was held online via Google Meets. Those present were as follows:

Tiberius, Lauren Smith, Catherine King, Julie Kimbrell, Patricia Web, Editha filia Rolandi , Sandy Wheeler, Franceska of Stormwall, Arias Velarde’

We began with a few words from their Nextelencies Hawkwood, Tiberius and Lauren Smith. They stated that they were in search of a new baronial chronicler and would hope that someone from Stormwall would consider taking the position. They also expressed their excitement for working together as a group in the future.

Arts and Sciences - Lady Lacretia - Reminded everyone to register for online classes at the June 13th University by the June 5th deadline. She also reported that A&S reporting has been sent to the kingdom.

Chatelaine - Lady Franceska of Stormwall - We have received many new items donated to the Stormwall Gold Key. All of these were catalogued. The Stormwall Gold Key inventory is currently up to date.

Exchequer - Catherine King reported that she is working to set up a checking account for Stormwall which will be started with funds from Hawkwood. These funds represent our share of proceeds from last year's HBB which was a Stormwall event.

New Business:

• It was discussed that a small event should be held in the Fall or Winter depending on the lifting on gathering restrictions. Lady Lacretia volunteered to host the event at her home in Murphy, NC.

• An archery and thrown weapons practice day was proposed for June or July to be hosted on Julie Kimbrell’s property.

Next Meeting: June 17, 2020 6:30 - This meeting was originally set to be a bonfire at the Holt residence but the continued ban on in person events has moved this meeting to virtual via Google Meets.
