Approach
Luke and company in his X-34 landspeeder enter Mos Eisley. Scurriers roam the streets of the city.
Behind-The-Scenes: Some of the buildings on the left are a reuse of the Tosche Station buildings in this scene, including the airation stacks in front of the buildings, the small domed building on the right of the image, and the moisture vaporator next to it.
2. Passing by an illegally parked, civilian-use GR-45 medium transport, where ASP-7 droids assist in loading the transport. An Imperial Mark IV patrol droid flies near an ASP-7 droid. A Ubrikkian 9000 speeder is parked in the background.
3. The landspeeder travels along Outer Curved Street.
Luke's speeder heads toward the old city center. The high-rise buildings of the Ubrikkian Trade Tower (left) and the Quebe-Luxfause Systems headquarters (right) are in the distance. The Outrider, Dash Rendar's ship, can be seen (at center) leaving the city.
4. Stormtroopers stand guard near the Spaceport prefect's office (left) on Straight Street. Lup's General Store is further down on the left.
5. A recklessly piloted S-swoop swerves around a ronto carrying Jawas on Corporations Road. The domed Customs House (center) stands in the background near the Spaceport Traffic Control building. An A-1 Deluxe Floater (right) sits in the background, along with a Void Spider TX-3.
Behind-The-Scenes: Some of the background structures are the cantina and the "community" junk yard (seen later) reused in this scene as other locations, as well as the speeders and some of the droids in the background.
6. Luke and company go through an Imperial checkpoint. An R5 astromech droid is seen in the far background (center), to the right of the ronto. A power droid is seen walking towards the right near some Jawas.
7. The upended spaceship called the Dowager Queen, an early colony ship, is one of many that have crashed on the planet and either became local landmarks or occupied structures. The spaceship landmark is located on the intersection of Dune Street and Inner Curved Street. In the background, on the right, is the Dim-U monastary. The Methane Fix Cantina was located to the left of the landmark ship.
8. Luke and company arrive at Chalmun's Cantina (right). The "community" junk yard sits to the left of the cantina. The astromech droid R3-T2 is in the foreground (center), along with a power droid and R5 astromech droid in the background.
Behind-The-Scenes: Filmed in Ajim, Djerba, Tunisia. The "community" junk yard to the left of the cantina, was referred to as part of the wreckage of the Dowager Queen, and even the ship itself, in older Legends material.
In front of Chalmun's Cantina. A jerba is tethered to the left of the building, along with a dewback. A 9000 Z001 speeder sits to the right, outside of the cantina.
9. C-3PO and R2-D2 hide behind a door (right) in an alley from a stormtrooper patrol. An Imperial Mark IV patrol droid can be seen to the right. The droid WED-9-M1 can be seen on the left.
10. Luke sells his speeder to the sales merchant Wioslea at Spaceport Speeders. An A-1 Deluxe Floater sits to the left behind Luke's sold landspeeder. The droids R4-E1 (center) and CZ-3 (right) are seen in the foreground, with WED-9-M1 again in the background.
Behind-The-Scenes: Filmed on Stage 8 at Elstree Studios, along with the alleyway scenes.
Luke and company meet Chewbacca outside Docking Bay 94.
Behind-The-Scenes: The numbers "94" can be seen to the left of the entrance door.
11. Luke and company arrive at Docking Bay 94 where the Millennium Falcon is docked.
Behind-The-Scenes: Filmed on Stage 3, only half of the Millennium Falcon prop was made because of available space at Elstree Studios (Notice no dish is seen on top of the ship).
A T-16 skyhopper flies over Spacer's Row, as Tatooine citizens celebrate the death of Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor. A water distribution plant was located on right.
Behind-The-Scenes: This CGI scene was added at the end of the 1997 re-release of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
